Message from the Chief
Leading the Windsor Police Department and serving the Windsor community is a privilege, and it is a true honor to serve as your chief of police. I am deeply appreciative of the opportunity to work alongside such a dedicated team and vibrant community.
The mission of the Windsor Police Department is clear: protecting our community from crime through integrity as our foundation, courage in our service, and excellence in our actions. This means acting ethically and transparently, responding decisively when help is needed, and working proactively with the community to prevent crime and solve problems.
Our vision is focused on the future: reducing crime and the fear of crime through continuous innovation, strong community partnerships, and relentless pursuit of excellence. This vision reflects our commitment to adapt, improve, and work collaboratively to build trust and support long-term community safety.
I am committed to leading a department that is professional, accountable, and transparent. That means setting clear expectations, holding ourselves to high standards, and ensuring our officers are prepared to act decisively and ethically in service to the public. It also means listening to our community, valuing collaboration, and continually improving how we serve.
Windsor is a community defined by its people, its pride, and its sense of connection. As Chief, my responsibility is to ensure the police department remains worthy of the trust placed in us and focused on protecting our community and maintaining a safe and secure environment for everyone who lives in and visits Windsor.
Thank you for your continued trust and support of the Windsor Police Department. I look forward to working together to keep Windsor a safe, welcoming place to live, work, and visit.
Thank you,
Stephen M. Garrison, Chief of Police
